About

"After spending most of my life with music, it is time to share my learnings with everyone who is interested in music, be it Indian Classical or Bengali." - Sajali Roy

I launched Raagini in 2013 as a channel for people around the world to familiarise themselves with the gems that have been gifted to us by infamous poets of India and in particular West Bengal.

Music brings people together, touches our souls and could even bring to us joy. The purpose of Raagini is to build and maintain a community of culture, music and talent, not only within India but beyond and all over the world.

Once I qualified as a Sangeet Prabhakar (Distinction), I decided to specialise in Indian Classical music. My career started with being an All India Radio (Kolkata, India) artiste, I performed in Door-Darshan (DD) Television and participated in various concerts as a Director, Artiste and a Judge in music shows and competitions in India, East & West Africa, Bangladesh and the UK.

I now teach a variety of Bengali Music at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, West Kensington including songs based on Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, Dwijendra Geeti, Atul Prasadi, Rajnikanth and Raag Pradhan.

I would like to dedicate this website to my Gurus:
